Twin Blade

Twin Blade (without a blade(s)).

Twin Blade (ツインブレード Tsuin Burēdo?)[1][2] is Spielban's primary weapon. A telescopic double-edged sword, usually used with only one blade out. The other blade is put out when Spielban execute Arc Impulse finisher, where he did a double slash attack in double-edged mode. The blade can also be extended to hit enemies far from him.

Sometimes a Battle Mechanoid would be so difficult to take down that doing so completely exhausted the Twin Blade's power source, and in one instance, a Robot was so powerful that the weapon was only able to do scratch damage, and in another instance, the Robot had to be frozen solid to weaken it enough to be vulnerable to the attack. Its one-blade mode isn't energized, although there have been times when it was like that with both of them out. Spielban also used it to destroy five Mechanoids, while riding Hoverian.

Notes[]

  • The Twin Blade served as inspiration for Darth Maul's double-bladed lightsaber from Star Wars.
  • In Brazilian dub, this weapon was renamed to "Cosmic Blade" and Arc Impulse finisher was renamed to "Blade Slice".
  • Often a Waller monster would surrender and quit fighting upon being impaled, but many would merely be inconvenienced by it and continue (or attempt to continue) fighting (nicknamed "heartburn" in VR Troopers), in this case, Spielban would realize he needed to attack harder and longer to defeat the mutant.
