The Strange World (不思議界 Fushigikai?) is the first episode of Space Sheriff Shaider.

In the Philippine Dub, it was tagalized as "Ang Mabangis na Mangagakop!" (The Fierce Conqueror!) where Great Emperor Kubilai and his group conquers the entire planets from different Galaxies and plans to conquer Earth. This is where Commander Qom from the Bird Planet deputized the cadet, Dai Sawamura on the mission along with fellow cadet and classmate Annie due to Mimie's request to assign on his home planet in Earth to protect its inhabitants from Kubilai's hands from his world conquest.

Plot[]

The episode begins where Great Emperor Kubilal had conquered the entire galaxies by destroying different planets including Planet Mount and now his next target is to conquer Earth. At Bird Planet, Annie was devastated over losing her home planet including her family living there and was consoled by Mimie. Commander Qom had made condolences over Annie's loss on her home planet and soon discuss in how to stop Kubilai's conquering plans on Earth and other different planets. He also allows all of the cadets to get home to their respective home planets to protect its inhabitants from Kubilai with the use of their skills learned from the academy which all of the cadets agreed. Commander Qom also called his now cadets as cops in space. Accompanied by Mimie, he shook hands on any of the cadets including Dai Sawamura who is about to be deputized in their mission to protect the inhabitants on their respective home planets and Qom informs Dai not to forget his mission to stop Kubilai from conquering Earth and starting from today that his codename is Shaider which he spoke the same way. While trying to practice the academy's motto and knowing he was just a cadet to be assigned on a mission, he was encountered by Mimie who is glad that he could come back home to his home planet on Earth (since she was always helping Retsu Ichijoji in his previous missions on Earth). Mimie calls on Annie to meet Dai and it was her request to let Annie to join with him in his current mission. Dai asks if she is ready which she accepts and wants to serve justice for destroying her home planet. They soon take off to Earth by flying with their space mothership Vavilos. Arriving on Earth, Dai shows to Annie his home planet on Earth which she amused the entire surroundings and it was different to her home planet in Planet Mount. Dai declares that this is where Kubilai's conquering plans will be stopped and he and Annie shook hands, showing their alliance between them. At Kubilai's spaceship, Priest Poe summons the Girl Army including Commander Hessler and the rest of the minions which they will be used in order to conquer Earth. With this, all of the minions make a dancing ritual so that Priest Poe can summon the Fushigi Beast BaliBali on the giant white pearl that turns into an egg which Kubilai uses his powers to hatch it.

Meanwhile, Dai returns to his home at the Sawamura Residence and it's been a very long time to get home after being trained at Bird Planet two years ago. Suddenly, he was attacked from the inside caused by Kubilal's spaceship within the Strange Dimension and ends up getting trapped, forcing him to transform into Shaider in which he broke free and manages to escape in time but his home was completely destroyed in explosions. Afterwards, he and Annie are helping the little girl who cried to see her dog being thrown by stones caused by minors who were actually Kubilai's minions in disguise which they trying to do the dancing ritual. Both of them stops them from throwing stones and they manage to rescue the dog on time but was thrown again by the youngsters before they ran away. It is revealed soon that Kubilai orders the Girl Army to use the hypnotizer within its radio frequency to hypnotize any minors to cause chaos in whoever hears the song from their dancing ritual which is actually part of their conquering plans. Following for losing his home in explosions, Dai is staying with his vehicle and was called up by the boy's parents who immediately asked him for help. Dai gets inside to see their son was in hypnotic control and manages to tackle him down while putting his hands to close his ears causing him to knocked out cold. Dai realizes it was caused by Kubilai which he decided to make his move. While riding his vehicle, he is trying to find the location of the radio frequency caused by the hypnotizer only to be ambushed by two black vehicles which Dai tries to dodge every of their attacks. He was soon cornered by the Girl Army along with Hessler's minions in which Dai is able to hold them off but was attacked by BaliBali causing him to lift himself into the the highest height. Dai soon transforms into Shaider by taking a battle pose along with a cross formation causing Hessler to send his minions to kill him. Shaider jumps down and executes his Shaider Kick on BaliBali then dodging the Girl Army's attack followed by subduing most of Hessler's minions. Shaider locates the hypnotizer inside of the boat which he destroys the machine with his Laser Blaster and escapes the premises when it was exploded. Shaider soon shoots the remaining minions with his Laser Blaster as well as Hessler and the Girl Army. Back at the spaceship, Kubilai sends flying aircrafts to annihilate Shaider which he dodges most of its attacks until he summons Sky Shaian which was piloted by Annie to take them down with its Shaian Beam, leading Kubilai to order Priest Poe to use the Strange Dimension where BaliBali is about to get through the warp. Shaider follows it by summoning his motorcycle vehicle Blu Hawk before Kubilai's spaceship attempts to shoot him down with their missiles but was dodged. Both Shaider and Balibali fought one-on-one due to the latter's enhance strength due to the effects of the Strange Dimension until Shaider overcame the odds by wielding his Laser Blade where the steel rope turns into a sword then he releases its laser as well. Shaider finishes the monster off with Shaider Blue Flash. Later, he managed to dodge most of the shots from Kubilai's gunship, leading him to summon their mothership Vavilos to take on a matrix formation. It damages Kubilai's gunship with Big Magnum, finally thwarted Kubilai's conquering plans. After the incident, Dai and Annie takes on a sprinting with two people that they had been rescued earlier.
