The Strange Fortress Beneath Tokyo (東京地底の怪要塞 Tōkyō Chitei no Kai Yōsai?) is the first episode of Space Sheriff Gavan and thus the first episode of the Metal Hero Series overall.

Synopsis[]

When the Evil Space Crime Organization; Makuu comes to Earth in order to steal its wealth and resources and make the Earth a Crime Paradise, Planet Bird sends the great Space Sheriff Gavan to combat the evil organization.

Plot[]

The story begins where the Makuu comes to Earth in order to steal its wealth and resources to make the Earth a Crime paradise. Don Horror also claims that he wanted to colonize the entire Earth. They invaded the Earth's space station first then on Earth by invading Tokyo in order to put their resources hidden. Only both Yoichi and Wakaba from the Avalon Riding Club are the ones to see their presence especially Kojiro Oyama. At the mothership Dolgiran, it was piloted by Gavan and was informed by Commander Qom and Marine about Makuu's criminal activities as well as Hunter Killer, a former Space Police who joined the enemy's side and was sent to Earth to combat the Makuu Empire. He fought the Makuu spaceships until they retreated. He was found by Mimie who decided to assist him in his mission on Earth and his current investigation once they arrived on Earth. Meanwhile a group of kids led by Yoichi serving as a UFO investigators are the ones to discover the Makuu's criminal activities until one of them accidentally kick the small tank causing them to retreat after they caught them. Just as they are about to be captured by Hunter Killer, they were rescued by Gavan and he fought the Makuu soldiers with an ease until Shako Monster attacks him, causing him to transform into his metallic alter-ego. He tells Mimie to help the kids to escape. He continued to battle the soldiers and Shako Monster.

Don Horror asks his men to move to the Makuu Region to warp Shako Monster causing Gavan to follow it with Saibarian. Despite the monster's enhance strength due to its dimensional rift, Gavan is able to withstand by destroying the monster by summoning the Electronic Starbeast Dol using its Dol Laser and having a sword fight with a humanoid beast and defeated it with its Laser Blade and its Gavan Dynamic and the entire Makuu dimension disappears back to the real Earth's surface.

After the incident and rescuing Yoichi and his group of kids, Gavan started to work at the Avalon Riding Club using his mother's maiden name by taking up the name as, Retsu Ichijoji and to protect the Earth from the Makuu evil organization.
