The Geniuses of the Makuu School (魔空塾の天才たち Makū juku no Tensai-tachi?) is the sixth episode of Space Sheriff Gavan.
Synopsis[]
Makuu’s latest plan involves using an evil cram school to feed children evil food to turn them into Double Man. Can Gavan rescue the kids before they become monsters?
Plot[]
The episode begins where Don Horror plans to make the children to become more intelligent and as a fine Double Man. He sends the Double Man who plays the flute along with his partner. They were accompanied by Hunter Killer to find a suitable monster for them which is Oomadako Monster after being interested over a flute song.
At the Avalon Riding Club, one of the kids Akira being bullied by kids in his age due to his grades being at 50% which causes a fight only to be stopped by Retsu who just arrived in time to break them up. Akira eventually runs away after being scolded by Gosuke from acting like a hooligan. He was met by two teachers who were actually a disguised Double Men that takes him in to the Genius Education Center so that they will learn a lot of subjects easier and taking lunch so that they will be in control of them. It reveals that they were manipulated into smart students to become a Double Men. Retsu eventually investigates the entire school and lands into a quarry. With this, he transforms into Gavan to fight them off including Oomadako Monster. The following day, Akira greets Retsu until he was in mind control from the Double Man's flute. Retsu eventually follows him by riding his Suzuki SJ and he almost sideswipped the UFO enthusiast, Kojiro Oyama after discovering Akira's strange actions while riding his bicycle. Retsu continues to infiltrate the education center and to see most kids including Yoichi, Wakaba and Akira. Retsu is able to snap Akira from brainwashing. Just as Retsu decided to stay at Akira's house with his mother, he was angered over the food. The next day, Retsu discovers that Akira is in the Double Man's control and was attacked by the Oomadako Monster.
At the forest, they take a trip for heavy training and was halted by Retsu after he found out they were physically hurt them if they failed the training. Despite attacking him so easily, Akira and the rest of the kids are ambushing Retsu while in his control, forcing Retsu to transform into Gavan and fight them as he manages to destroy the flute with Gavan Kick, freeing the kids from its mind control. When facing the monsters, they were transported into the Makuu Space dimension ordered by Don Horror, forcing Gavan to summon Saibarian to find them. After destroying the ball using Laser Z Beam. Oomadako Monster grows large to attack and summons Dol who uses Dol Laser to defeat it. Both Gavan and Double Man battle in a sword fight which ended with Gavan destroys it with both Laser Blade and Gavan Dynamic after he threw his sword on the latter's flute in explosion when it attempted to hurt his head to cause pain and the entire Makuu space dimension reverts back to the Earth's surface. After the incident, Gosuke and Retsu greet the kids who were about to go to school and Retsu continues his work at the riding club.
