Small but Mighty is the thirtieth episode of VR Troopers season 1.

Synopsis[]

Thanks to Skug assistant Strickland's latest invention, a molecular regression device, Grimlord is able to turn the VR Troopers back into 10-year-olds with full memory of their powers and abilities as VR Troopers. Despite the hope they'll be easily defeated at this younger age, the team proves to be just as resourceful and powerful as they were before. Unfortunately, while they can still transform into VR Troopers, they can only do so for a mere 15 minutes! Can VR JB & Kaitlin stop Cranoid, while VR Ryan deals with General Ivar, all in this time limit? And can Professor Hart find a way to restore their true age, or will our heroes be forever young?

Cast[]

Song[]

  • Let's Save the World

Notes[]

  • This episode aired the same day as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Season 2) episode 28, The Power Transfer Part II.
  • This is the only episode where the Troopers transform into their armor as children, and the concept of age regression being used. The second and third seasons of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers would feature the latter, but for the entire planet (however, the kid Rangers don't morph, as in the instance in the second season they seemibgly lose their memories and, in the third season, they retain their present memories but lose their powers altogether). Big Bad Beetleborgs and Power Rangers Turbo would use a similar concept of making kids as the heroes instead of teens or adults with the latter being for just one member.
  • Professor Hart shows his hands for the first time, highlighting the fact that he's not merely a head in a black suit, he's got a whole virtual body.

Errors[]

  • Where did the Troopers get the child-sized bicycles and helmets from?
  • If the Troopers riding their motorcycles or car as kids is wrong, why is Jeb, a dog, allowed to drive Kaitlin's car?
  • While Young JB and Kaitlin fighting Crainoid, another VR Kaitlin with a sickle (who is a counterpart to Helen from Spielban) appeared on some scenes, prior to Kaitlin acquiring the VR Kaitlin Double Team command in Season 2.
