Saibarian

Saibarian (サイバリアン?) is Gavan's personal sidecar-type crimson machine, which he uses to enter Makuu Space. Stored in Dolgiran, when he calls for it, this vehicle flashing lights at the front comes from the Dolgiran to Gavan's current location. He occasionally uses it when fighting Makuu on Earth.

Equipped with Saibarian Laser (サイバリアンレーザー Saibarian Rēzā?) on the rear side of the sidecar and Saibarian Rocketter (サイバリアンロケッター Saibarian Rokettā?) on the left side of the handle. In addition, the ramming attack Saibarian Spin (サイバリアンスピン Saibarian Supin?) that makes the best use of the robust body is also powerful. It can run and fly unmanned and automatically starts when it receives a command from Gavan. Also, if Saibarian use Saibarian Laser Speed (サイバリアンレーザースピード Saibarian Rēzā Supīdo?), it can rush into light like Gavan immediately after Jouchaku process.

When entering Makuu Space, the space between the vehicle body and the "boat" part slides and unfolds, exposing the internal mechanic. There is a deformation mechanism such as the Saibarian Laser installed at the rear of the "boat" part is rising up.

Specs[]

  • Total length: 2.3 m
  • Weight: 400 kg
  • Speed: 500 km/h

Notes[]

  • Unlike ordinary sidecars, Saibarian is a single-seater, and there is no "seat" in the so-called "boat" part, but this "boat" part is used as a standing space for Gavan when entering Makuu Space.
  • It was blue in the design of Kazuo Oishi, but it was suddenly changed to red at the site's discretion due to the circumstances of blue back shooting[1]. The blue Saibarian was realized later in Uchuu Keiji Gavan: The Movie.
  • The shooting prop is made from the chassis based on the actual vehicle. According to Oishi, straight-line stability was poor[1].
