Direct Attack on the Female Journalist (直撃じゃじゃ馬娘 Chokugeki jaja Uma Musume?, 01/11/85) is the forty-first episode of Uchuu Keiji Shaider. In the Philippine Dub, it was tagalized as "Pag Ibig, Pag Ibig, Pag Ibig pa Rin." (Love, Love, Still Love.) due to Priest Poe mind controls Vivian into falling in love with Dai Sawamura to make Annie jealous not realizing that she was captured and brainwashed by the Fuuma after crash landing on a different planet.
Synopsis[]
Shaider is gonna rescue Vivian from Fuuma. Will Shaider save her?
Plot[]
The episode begins where Commander Qom and Mimi gives both Dai Sawamura and Annie a task to protect a female journalist and the mayor's daughter named Vivian. When they piloted Vavilos to get Vivian's spaceship, it was nowhere to be seen at their radar since her spaceship was crashed. Vivian was later used by Priest Poe and letting the Amazonians including the Fushigi Beast, Pairpair by controlling her mind by implanted her with ear piercings on her right ear Poe gives her the camera similar to a watch on her left wrist which it was used to detonate their base of operations, Vavilos while at the same time is to lure Dai as Shaider by showing her romantic infatuation to him.
Meanwhile, Dai eventually found Vivian who was after by Kubilai's minions, he informs Annie that he found her and was located at the south port. Dai fends off most of the minions despite Vivian was cheering on him until Annie arrives to shoot the Amazonians with her laser gun. Before they are about to escape, Pairpair attacks Dai, causing him to transform into Shaider. The battle became a handicap when Commander Hessler sided with the beast, they briefly succeed in recapturing Vivian only for Shaider to rescue her on time by riding the Battle Shaian and frees Vivian and immediately escape the premises after the implanted detonator explodes in thirty seconds since Hessler had informed Shaider about the detonators are about to detonate in thirty seconds.
At Vavilos, Vivian awakens and showing her romantic infatuation towards Dai, much to Annie's jealousy. Despite her antics and getting amused over their base of operations, Dai decided to leave to stop the Fuuma due to the alarm while Annie decided to stay behind and looking after Vivian who is saddened after Dai rejects her advances. While on the mission, Dai was dejected because of Vivian's romantic advances as well as making Annie jealous of him. When Vivian explores the entire base of operations and due to the brainwashing caused by Poe, she decided to do the deed by implanting the camera on the engine that can detonate in explosion. She was found by Annie who decided to stop her from doing the deed causing Vivian to get the camera and give chase. Dai is forced to battle Kubilai's group to avoid gunfire until Pairpair ambushes him to his car and takes him out. Dai transforms into Shaider and takes the group all out at once. When Vivian tries to escape with the detonator, she was electrocuted and was knocked unconscious by Annie after activating the electricity from their engines. Annie is able to turn off the camera by switching off, failing Poe's mission in the process and to discover the ear piercings that Vivian wore also belongs to Poe that causes her brainwashing. Annie later pilots the Sky Shaian to save Shaider from Kubilai's minions using the Shaian Beam which forces Great Emperor Kubilai to order Poe to activate the Fushigi Dimension and Shaider chases it by riding the BluHawk. Despite Pairpair's increased strength due to the dimension's power and surroudings, Shaider damages it first with his Laser Blade by ensnaring and stole its bladed staff by lassoing like a whip and to deal further damage with both Laser Blade and its bladed spear and destroying it with Shaider Blue Flash.
After the incident, both met Vivian at the amusement park where she greets them while riding a carousel. Annie remains jealous to Dai, telling him to look after her which he retorts that he had no relationship with her and the last scene shows that Dai was forced to hang out with Vivian who is clinggy while Annie is still with him. Vivian clumsily hugged Dai while Annie happily sees them both, much to Dai's dismay.
