Amy is an employee, at an animal shelter, who was turned into the Red Python, an evil VR Trooper, created by Colonel Icebot, when using Tyler Steele's knowledge. However, the Red Python required a human spirit, to harness her full powers, to destroy the VR Troopers.

Character History[]

Amy was the right person that Grimlord wanted for her to become the Red Python. Skugs then captured Amy and later she was brainwashed and given her new powers. The Red Python proved to be very formidable and almost killed Kaitlin, badly damaging her retroformer in the process. Later, J.B. vowed to get revenge. However, Col. Icebot wasn't as successful as he hoped, as the Red Python's powers were slowly becoming unstable, with any further battles leading to her self-destruction. Amy's physical well-being and mental health were also in jeopardy. During her last battle, with JB, her powers gave up completely. The Troopers were able to save Amy, before she might die. After her brainwashing was reversed, Amy also forgot that the VR Troopers, and her new friends, were the same trio.

Amy has many similarities with Tommy Oliver, the green Mighty Morphin Power Ranger.
- Both were new in town and were befriended by the heroes.
- Both were kidnapped and brainwashed by the main villain of the show.
- Both started out as evil versions of the heroes.
- Both lost their powers.
Unlike Tommy, she didn't join the team.
The first draft name for Red Python was "K-Mart-bot" because she was the same color of red as the K-Mart logo but this was changed for obvious reasons (copyright, and that their evil VR Trooper was not a bot).
This foreshadowed the Quest for Power arc, where Grimlord would use Tyler's knowledge to create a much more formidable virtual army that would require new powers for Ryan & a technology upgrade for JB & Kaitlin (including JB's laser lance, which risked being rendered obsolete).
